Our Family Ethic

What we do

As a church family we love God, his people, and his word! So we are committed to God’s command to tell the next generation about our amazing God and his rescue for us through Jesus Christ.

Partnering With Parents

The Bible teaches that Christian parents hold the main responsibility for teaching their children God’s word and modelling what it looks like to live for Jesus in our everyday lives. We want to support parents in this role by providing regular updates on our regular groups, organising family fellowship meals and twice yearly parent forums where parents can pray together and have an opportunity to give feedback. We also provide a families library – full of resources for parents to borrow.

Youth Groups

Deeper and Rooted

We meet every Sunday in term time at 5pm for anyone in Years 7-13.

Join us for drinks, snacks, games and an opportunity to dig deeper into God’s word together. We want to keep being reminded of God’s grace to us in Jesus, and to hear His wisdom for living in His world.

We finish at 6:30pm.

Access

A monthly event on a Friday evening for Years 7-13. A fun evening or trip out with a short talk, a great one to bring friends along to. Watch this space for next terms info!

Children’s Work

Sundays

Babies and preschool – we provide a crèche during the Bible talk with toys and games, as well as a Bible story and craft.

Reception to Year 6

We aim to be together as a Church family both young and old as much as possible so the children stay in the service till just before the talk when they leave for age appropriate teaching. There is usually Bible study, games, craft, memory verses and more.

For more information about our Youth and Children’s work please contact us using THIS FORM.

Toddler Group

Every Thursday morning from 9:30 to 11am in term time the downstairs hall is transformed into a safe play area for babies and toddlers. We play, have a snack, and finish with a story. Mums, Dads, Grandparents and Carers come along and enjoy the tea, coffee and the chats!

You can sign up to join us by booking your place through our church calendar.

… not forgetting our retired folks

Twice a month we run the Oasis event for grandparents and those aged 65 and above. Currently it is on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 10.30am. See our Latest News page for details of the upcoming event.

Family Events

Throughout the year we aim to plan a number of family fun days and family craft days, keep an eye out on the website for updates on this!

The safety of the children and young people in our care is extremely important to us, we have a safeguarding policy in place which you can read here (Safeguarding Policy). All our leaders have been DBS checked and take seriously the importance of protecting the children in our care.
