Do you have money problems?

With the rapidly-changing world financial crisis, we as a church are aware that many people are concerned about their own financial situation, and here at Parr Street we have undertaken to help in the best way we can.
We conduct Money Management Courses on a regular basis, to help you to manage your finances and avoid getting into debt, but in addition, if you find yourself in serious debt we are still able to help ...

Christians Against Poverty is a national debt counselling charity with a network of 190 centres based in local churches. CAP offers hope and a solution to anyone in debt through its unique, in-depth service.

Parr Street Church is Kendal’s CAP Centre, and we have trained staff who will visit people in their own home and help them work their way to becoming debt-free.

Email from John Kirkby, 29th February 2012 ...

I thought you would be encouraged to hear that CAP had a tremendous night last week at the 'Sunday Times Best Companies Awards'. We scooped three incredible awards, firstly we won the ultimate 'Well being' award for our work with our staff teams, we also came 3rd as the best 'not for profit company' to work for. (I think we should have come 1st!!!) and a real encouragement for Matt, our entire management team and myself as Matt and I were awarded the 2012 'Times Best Leaders of the year' award.

Thank you for you amazing hard-work and sheer dedication to the task in hand and I pray you are encouraged by our progress. However for me the most encouraging start to 2012 is to see so many people continue to come to know Christ every day and already we have seen over 150 families released from poverty and achieved debt free!! And its only 29th of feb!!!

God is good and I pray continued blessings on all you do for Him in 2012."
